Oreo Bombs

I used a little white chocolate as well, kind of gilding the lily...

Man, these are good!  They are also ridiculously easy to make and deadly for the waistline, perfect!

I found the recipe as I was looking for something for Valentine’s Day that wasn’t pink or red and covered in ridiculous verses that make me want to puke.  Can you tell Valentine’s Day is not my favorite celebration?!

Oreo Bombs

1 regular sized packet of Oreos, crushed (about 16oz)

1 packet (8 oz) of cream cheese, softened

Milk chocolate chips

Using a blender or hand-held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together.

Roll into walnut size balls (small walnuts, these are very rich).

Chill for one hour while beating off small children and large husbands trying to get an early taste.

Melt chocolate chips.

Stick a toothpick in the ball (not in the husband) and dip in the chocolate to coat.

Place on wax paper and leave to harden – about 15 minutes. (I put mine back in the fridge)

Eat!

No one will guess it's just oreos and cream cheese!

You know half the fun of a diet is breaking it, right? 🙂 I actually halved the recipe so there wouldn’t be too many calling my name… err, shouldn’t you be in bed now?

    What is an Oreo please?

I am pretty sure you get them in the UK – they are a chocolate sandwich cookie with a white cream filling. I can’t believe you haven’t eaten them when you have been here!!

  4. Fab – it’s our bake sale on Friday, and – as you say – no-one will know these are just cream cheese and Oreo cookies. And chocolate. What was that about a ‘diet’?
